Inter-Religious Council of Linn County

About Us

Greetings from the President of the IRCLC

The Inter-Religious Council of Linn County was formed in 1993, in order to encourage understanding, respect, and friendship among persons of different faiths in this community. Our membership includes persons from eleven different faith traditions, including Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, and Unitarian-Universalist. We strive to understand both the differences and the common bonds among our faiths, and we ask how our faiths can promote reconciliation and peace in our community and our world.

Through efforts like our weekly television program "Ethical Perspectives on the News"; through a frequently offered series of lectures titled "Know Your Neighbor’s Faith"; and through times of worship like our annual Thanksgiving service, we seek to affirm that God’s love, grace and forgiveness are bestowed on persons of all faiths. For more information and for announcements about our current activities, please visit our Web site at
www.irclc.org, or contact me by e-mail at [AFisher@Coe.Edu] or by phone at 363-0879. If you are not already affiliated with the IRCLC, we hope that you will consider joining us. Membership is open to both organizations and individuals.

Shalom,

Al Fisher
